You keep saying surcharge-free. What is a surcharge fee?

A surcharge is a fee the owner of the ATM machine charges any cardholder not part of their network. It’s a fee you pay to use someone else’s ATM. Surcharges are typically between $1.50 and $3.00.

OK, but what’s a transaction fee and how’s it different?

Good question, a transaction fee is from your card provider. Your card provider may charge you for every ATM transaction over the limit they have set per month. You need to call the toll-free number on the back of your card to find out if they have set a limit and what it is.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Please call your card provider using the toll free number on the back of your card for reimbursement.

What should I do if the Allpoint ATM asks that I accept the surcharge?

Can I still use ATMs that are not part of Allpoint?

Yes. Your ATM card will continue to work at ATMs that are not included in the Allpoint network. However, you will be assessed a surcharge fee at the large majority of ATMs that are outside the Allpoint network.
