Firstmark Credit Union is working to give its members greater access to surcharge-free ATMs.
The San Antonio credit union joined forces with Allpoint, making itself the first financial institution in San Antonio to be affiliated with the ATM network.
The partnership gives Firstmark Credit Union members access to more than 300 surcharge-free ATMs in the San Antonio area and 35,000 nationwide.
"Nobody wants to pay a fee to access their own money," says Leon Ewing, president/CEO of Firstmark Credit Union. "By using the Allpoint ATM network, Firstmark Credit Union members don't have to."
Firstmark Credit Union is the fourth-largest credit union in San Antonio with more than $589 million in assets and 87,360 members.
Allpoint is a division of Cardtronics Inc. in Bethesda, Md. The company works to give financial institutions with a limited ATM presence access to additional machines.
