BRENTWOOD, Tenn., — Comdata Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceridian Corporation (NYSE: CEN), announced today it has signed an agreement with Allpoint Network to offer a surcharge-free network option to its Comchek eCash¨ pay card customers. The service, now available, gives cardholders surcharge-free access to Allpoint's U.S. network of more than 35,000 ATMs.
"Allpoint offers our customer businesses and their employees the largest network of surcharge-free ATMs in the nation," Keith Sorrels, Comdata senior vice president, sales and marketing, said. "Not only are the ATMs numerous but they are well located, including in major national and regional retail locations, to offer our pay card holders maximum convenience in locating an ATM when they need it."
The Allpoint network offers Allpoint-branded ATMs in all 50 states. In fact, one out of every 12 ATMs in the nation carries the Allpoint logo.
"Allpoint branded ATMs are easily identified, and a high percentage of them are managed locally by Allpoint's partner deployers, who have a vested interest in ensuring the locations are well maintained and accessible for our users," Sorrels said.
Comdata's Comchek eCash pay cardholders can access their funds by using the card as a debit card at any Maestro¨ accepting merchant, by writing a paper Comchek bank draft, by transferring funds via a toll-free number to their bank account, or by using an ATM machine. Often, those ATM machines are owned by others and charge a fee for usage. By offering the Allpoint alternative, users can save dramatically on ATM fees associated with their pay card use.
"We are very excited about Comdata joining Allpoint," said Ben Psillas, president of Allpoint Network. "Pay cards are a natural fit for Allpoint, given our national surcharge-free ATM access," said Psillas.
