CHICAGO, March 29, 2004 — Bank One today announced that customers of its prepaid Direct Card will have 25,000 additional surcharge-free ATMs through an agreement with Allpoint, an ATM network with locations in all 50 states. Direct Card customers already have access to Bank One's network of 4,300 ATMs.

The Direct Card is a re-loadable, prepaid Visa card. Employers, colleges and universities, government agencies and other organizations offer the Direct Card to their employees or members as a cost-effective solution for payroll, financial aid reimbursements, scholarships, grants and other disbursements.

Customers can now use the Direct Card without surcharges to make withdrawals at any ATM with the Allpoint label. Allpoint ATMs are located at national and regional chain retail outlets, grocery and convenience stores, gas stations, and other places frequented by consumers.

Cardholders enjoy added convenience, security and utility when compared to check or cash payments.
