Use your quarterly newsletter to keep members/customers aware of your Allpoint advantage
Here are some points to highlight:
Did you know that Allpoint has 32,000 ATMs nationwide? That's twice as many as the largest bank owned ATM network (Bank of America has 16,000). Your bank or credit union has more surcharge-free ATMs than the largest banks in the country. One in 12 ATMs in the country is an Allpoint ATM!
Surcharges at Large Banks are on the rise.¹ Both Fifth Third and Bank of America have recently raised their surcharges for non-customers using their machines. Your members/customers do not have to worry about that though, because you offer them the largest surcharge-free network nationwide.
Allpoint saves members/customers an extra step when they are out running errands. They are conveniently located at retail locations. We have extended contracts with Target, Costco, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Circle K, Hess, Giant Foods, ExxonMobil, and Chevron to name a few. This means that most of these locations have an Allpoint ATM for your members/customers to use surcharge-free.
Highlight the monetary savings by using an example. The average consumer uses the ATM seven (7) times a month. If that consumer paid the average surcharge of $1.50 per withdrawal, he would be paying over $125 a year in surcharges alone (not to mention added transaction fees, if any).
Remind them that the cards they have today work for them in Allpoint machines now. They don't have to sign up or pay for the service. It is there for them to use!
Are your members/customers not reading your newsletters? Create a contest. Insert a crossword puzzle or questionnaire about the newsletter contents. The person who answers it correctly and turns it in to the branch will be entered in a prize drawing. Now you know they will be reading!
